Best Baby Products 2026

A quick list of essential baby items we just could not live without! Frida Baby NoseFrida SnotSucker I know, it sounds so gross and I didn't even think of getting one of these with my first baby. But we got this as a gift the second time around and, when our beloved electronic snot sucker bit the dust I was desperate. Guess what! I was hooked after just one suck! This thing works great, is super gentle for baby, and actually pretty satisfying. There is nothing worse than a face full of mucus and a baby who is struggling with a stuffy nose. Get yourself one of these bad boys and you'll never look back! πŸ‘‰ Buy it here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00171WXII Frida Baby DermaBaby the FLAKEFIXER If your baby has cradle cap, dry skin, or just random flaky patches, this little tool is magic. It gently loosens flakes without irritating their delicate skin. With my first baby, I never experienced cradle cap. Baby #2 did have some serious flakiness at one point, but I only had to use this ...

🍴 Kitchen Makeover 🍴

We are slowly but surely making progress on the house! It is luxurious to take our time on this project. We are investigating how this home can facilitate intentionally raising children in a harmonious, grounded, energetically-aligned environment. As we grow as a family we learn exactly what functions we need our house to serve and this informs the intelligent development of the space.   We recently started a kitchen mini makeover. If you've read earlier entries, you will remember the abundance of grey paint. Besides drab grey walls, the kitchen also featured unsightly, brown, speckled countertops and a brown tile-accented faux brick backsplash (not cute!) The refrigerator was grimy and too large for the space. A strange, scalloped wooden border awkwardly connected two sets of cabinets above the window and a giant microwave hung above the stove. That's just the start of what I had to change about this kitchen! A massive upgrade came with new flooring. Previously, a wood-look t...

🚽 Bathroom Reveal 🚽

The bathroom is finally complete! You can check out the former state of the bathroom here . It was the most important project on my list and now it's one of my favorite places in our new home. One major benefit of having a small en-suite bathroom means that it is all mine! It is the perfect size for just one person, so I don't have to share with anyone. After removing the dated glass doors, I hung a fresh white and beige striped shower curtain. The beige warms up the space a bit and ties in the golden wallpaper. I also use beige towels that have a scroll pattern - using different patterns in the same color family livens up the neutral space.  For hand towels and rugs, I opted for a deeper sage green than the pale green on the painted walls. Playful additions include the golden evil eye mirror, phases of the moon wall art and gold door-mounted hooks. I'm really loving the serene feeling this green & gold combo has lent to the bedroom and en suite bathroom! Finally, I add...

🚽 Bathroom Progress Update 🚽

Image
The en-suite bathroom is almost complete! This is a BIG deal because this room was *almost* a deal breaker! I t was giving grimy, dingy and dirty.  Updating the shower was at the top of my list.  I knew it had to be one of our first projects. Removing the shower doors was the first step.  O nly one side of the opaque glass opened at a time so they broke up the bathroom into a cramped, compartmentalized shoebox.  Luckily, it was pretty easy to learn how to get rid of them thanks to YouTube University.  The outdated silver frame was too low. Once we removed that, the bathroom felt much better! A future version of me is going to teach herself to tile, but that wasn't a project I was ready to tackle at eight months pregnant. Tile paint was a more digestible upgrade at the time. We used it in the shower to lighten up the grey-ish walls and floor. I purchased a spray  and a brush-on kit. While the tile spray paint was easier to use, the brush-on provided mor...

🍼 Nursery Reveal 🍼

Image
Today, my husband and I celebrate our 13 year wedding anniversary! We actually got married at the courthouse about 6 months prior to our wedding so we always have a little debate on whether this is considered an anniversary. I like to recognize both the wedding and marriage ...so happy anniversary to us!  Do you have funny recurring inside jokes with your fam? Those feel like home.  Speaking of home... onto the reveal! The Nursery - the first room we finished! Inspired by Keanu's name, which means "cool breeze", and his sign, Pisces, The Nursery incorporates art, furniture, and color that evokes nature, specifically the water element.  I truly am enamored with the color we chose, Permafrost. The baby blue hue feels luminescent, a big change from the listless grey walls that stifled the house before we bought it. The tone feels like a cool breeze itself! Here's a  short video I posted to TikTok @allison.of.altamo When I decorated Cristiano's nursery, we went with a...

πŸ‘ Local Spotlight: Revival Chiropractic πŸ‘

February and March were a couple of action-packed months here in Altamonte! We celebrated Cristiano's 5th birthday in grand style with a whole week of parties. We welcomed family and friends to our new home for Superbowl and for our Nesting Party. We wrapped it all up by meeting our brand new son, Keanu Beckham Gibson, on March 4th! In between all of the excitement, we've continued creating our sweet family sanctuary, which I am so excited to share more of soon!  First, however, I want to share one of my favorite places in our new neighborhood: Revival Chiropractic. Early on in my pregnancy, I started researching prenatal chiropractic care. I was interested in bodywork to help encourage the natural birth process. I am a huge advocate of natural, holistic healing and I had heard good things about the Webster technique. One day, I woke up with terrible neck and rib pain. I went to work but had such limited mobility that I called Revival and made an appointment that same day. I...
